Chetan Parmar

Managing Director

Chetan’s global portfolio demonstrates a fusion of innovation, functionality, and aesthetics. His diverse expertise spans the private and public sectors, with a notable emphasis on sustainable, design-led solutions. Chetan’s approach marries technical mastery with a keen aesthetic sense, ensuring that each project not only meets but exceeds its intended purpose.

With a sharp eye for design and robust business acumen, Chetan adopts a client-centric methodology, fuelled by an enquiring mind and a proactive stance in opportunity creation. His extensive knowledge of the UK market, especially London, combined with his insights into the Middle East, has enabled him to forge a strong network of clients and collaborators.

Chetan champions a design-led philosophy in structural engineering, advocating for the seamless integration of form and function. This approach yields structures that are not just visually appealing but also structurally robust and sustainable.

His expertise has been pivotal in the fruition of several landmark projects like London’s iconic Walkie Talkie skyscraper, Walmer Yard, the Bank of America HQ, The Passage-Victoria, Resort World NEC in Birmingham, and the Sea World India Oceanarium in Mumbai. These projects showcase his ability to blend innovative engineering with environmental consciousness.

Recognised for his contributions, Chetan has been a juror for the AIA’s “Excellence-in-Design-Awards” and is a mentor in the BCO NextGen program. His commitment to legacy-building extends beyond structures to shaping future industry leaders.

Parmarbrook was co-founded by Chetan in 2011 after several years as a Director at global consultancies; Halcrow Yolles and Waterman Group.

Steve Davidson

Steve is an accomplished chartered engineer who has spearheaded a diverse portfolio of complex projects during his 16-year career. His experience spans data centre, education, residential, and commercial developments in both London and Edinburgh.

As the data centre sector lead at Parmarbrook, Steve is deeply committed to advocating for and implementing innovative and sustainable structural solutions that align with the ever-evolving computing landscape within the sector – leveraging Parmarbrook’s expertise in navigating civil and structural challenges in this space.

Ben Paterson

Ben is a creative and experienced chartered Engineer with 20 years’ experience working for central London design consultancies. He has worked on a variety of projects which involved complex basement construction and major mixed-use schemes with blue chip clients. He has an ability to unlock projects and complex sites, using the broad and varied experience gained over his 20 year career.

Ben is responsible for design quality across the studio, ensuring a consistent and high level outcome is met on all projects; whilst also delivering timely engineering solutions in line with demanding construction programmes.

Ben is passionate about engineering and the difference it can make to the built environment. Recent experiences have included in depth analysis and delivery of off-site manufactured buildings, carbon reduction through intelligent specification and building design automation.

Bens route into engineering was technical drawing, which he learnt while studying at Marling Grammar School and a design office in the 1990’s, he has developed and built on these detail based skills over the last 20 years and uses this experience to provide technical design support to the studio project teams.

Outside the studio Ben has a young family, which keeps him busy. Spare time is spent on the golf course, in his camper van or wearing a pair of ski’s, depending on the season.

Danielle Coleman

Marketing Director

Danielle brings over 15 years of expertise in construction marketing, through her tenure at Waterman Group and her pivotal role at Parmarbrook since 2014. As the driving force behind strategic business development and marketing, she is instrumental in raising the profile of the business in the industry.

With a keen eye for business strategy, Danielle spearheads the creation and execution of forward-thinking plans aligned with Parmarbrook’s long-term vision. Her proactive approach ensures our competitiveness and adaptability in a dynamic market landscape.

Recognising the vital intersection of marketing and strategic business development, Danielle injects fresh perspectives and innovative ideas into our initiatives. She actively seeks new partnerships and avenues for growth, while also playing a hands-on role in internal bidding and work-winning processes.

Rob possesses a wealth of knowledge and experience in technical delivery.

Prior to joining Parmarbrook, Rob held a 16 year-tenure Associate Director position where he successfully managed project teams on a range of developments, both new build and refurbishment. With 29 years’ experience across residential, education and mixed-use sectors, Rob is dedicated to delivering high quality design and solutions to clients.

Claire Washington

Senior Associate

Claire joined Parmarbrook in 2020 and has since led a variety of projects, including Broxbourne school, Kitchener Barracks and 100 De Beauvoir Block.

Claire is passionate about sustainable design and the benefits modern methods of construction can bring. Her wealth of experience in the use of timber and hybrid structures has already encouragingly impacted the company. She enjoys solving technical problems using first principles with refined analytical tools to develop effective and efficient structual solutions.

Claire started her career in New Zealand before moving to the UK in 2014. In 2018 Claire was part of the female-led design team delivering Cambridge Mosque, with Marks Barfield Architects, a landmark timber building designed with Glulam and CLT.

Constantin Beldiman

Constantin is a professional structural engineer with experience around the UK and internationally, including in Hong Kong and Romania. He’s skilled in project management, design management and structural engineering, including structural analysis and design – as well as technical reviews and guidance.

He’s led project teams to deliver on education, public service, energy, airport, and underground transport related projects, including the Victoria Underground station upgrade, Heathrow Airport Terminal 2B and the Hong Kong International Airport Midfield Concourse.

He has considerable practice in detailed structural analysis and volumetric construction after designing two of the largest modular towers in the UK; Mapleton Crescent, Wandsworth, and Addiscombe Grove, Croydon.

King Leung

King can provide clients with a broad range of services in civil engineering including drainage, flood risk, sustainable drainage system, highways, public realm, car parking and utilities infrastructure. He is experienced civil engineering and can deliver projects from the feasibility to construction, and completion both in the private and public sector including design, tenders, contracts and site supervision. King is responsible for delivering highway and infrastructure projects ranging from large scale residential / educational developments, water treatment works and railway infrastructure to small car park designs and building drainage remedial works.

Andy has a wealth of experience gained from working on major building and civil engineering projects in both the private and public sector for consultants, contractors and more recently in development.

Andy was previously Operations Director of Clarke Bond and is a Fellow of both the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Institution of Structural Engineers.

She has worked on larger residential schemes and commercial buildings which take in both new build and historic refurbishment structures. Laura is passionate about sustainable design, from material selection to passive house design. She also believes in innovation, its importance for the future and how it can shape a better world for future generations.

Simon Etherton

Simon has over 25 years experience as a CAD technician and in recent years adopted software platforms such as the AutoDesk Building Design Suite – his expertise in Revit Structures has led him to model signature developments with construction values up to £250m.

Most recently Simon has been developing and leading on BIM models for a variety of Design and Build projects.

Alex joined Pamarbrook in 2015 and has worked on projects varying in size and complexity; from high end single dwellings to large 25ha heavily contaminated sites.

Alex has recently completed a high end residential scheme at Little Chester Street with Squire and Partners; which provides four separate townhouses with double storey basements in Belgravia.

James began his career working on the iconic Walmer Yard development by Peter Salter and delivering numerous high end residential dwellings.

More recently, James has worked on larger residential schemes, commercial buildings, schools and theatres which take in both new build and historic refurbishment structures, on green field and complex urban sites.

James is currently working with multiple brand occupiers to deliver Cat A refurbishments to their London Office Space.
