Parmarbrook delivered structural engineering consultancy for the comprehensive Cat A refurbishment of DSQ 9, a Grade II listed office building. former warehouse is set within the Devonshire Square Estate.

Working alongside JRA architects, the office accommodation was brought up to Cat A standard across levels one, two, three and five and a new a new boutique reception was created on the ground floor.
Sustainability was a priority on the project, achieving BREEAM ‘Excellent’ through a range of measures, including a new plant strategy at basement level, maximising reuse of materials and retaining as much of the existing building structure as possible. DSQ 9 now forms a destination workplace, with benchmark estate facilities to BCO specifications.

Devonshire Square is home to an array of popular retail and leisure operators and boasts a large public realm which allows tenants the opportunity to work flexibly in an outdoor green space.
